[Photo Essay] Visit to the Strawberry Farm - One day Trip to Genting Highlands, Malaysia

If you are a person who loves cold breezy weather, Genting is your nearest place in Malaysia! A perfect place to escape the hot and sunny weather from Kuala Lumpur. With just a hour to two drive to Genting from KL, this makes a wonderful spot for a quick family outing.

There is enough to match everyone's needs. Let it be the Strawberry farm or mushroom farm or the cable car ride or the chinese temple high up. If you have a family who has children, the strawberry farms make a wonderful place to visit on any weekend. My little V enjoyed his best looking at the strawberries and running around. Please make sure to take your jackets; as it does get cold when you reach near the cable car ride.

Our Travel Itinerary:

Our visit was a short one as we returned within 4 hours from Genting. But if I plan again, I would love to visit the other places we missed to see. We covered the Strawberry farm (which included a Lavender farm, mushroom farm, honey bee farm) and had a coffee break in the Old Town Coffee. The other places to see would be the Cable car ride and the Chin Swee caves temple; which we didn't cover in this trip.

How to Reach there:

You can either drive your way up to Genting in your car or you can take the Genting Bus (I know there is one from KL sentral). It would be an hour plus drive up there.

We then moved to the Bee farm. You can buy fresh honey from them.

Mushroom farm! I wondered what these mushrooms will be used for?

Genting is definitely in my to-go place again; to see the left over places. How can I say I visited a highland if i didn't get into their cable car ride? Go there and enjoy the weather! A heaven for photography enthusiasts for those countless clicks!
